Went on a trip of 12 in a small boat some 20+ miles to North West of Guernsey today. 

Searched and found a multitude of sea birds.  Here is a selection from the day. Saw ...  Sabine's Gull, Arctic Skua, Balearic Shearwater, Little Tern, Kingfisher, Arctic Tern, Storm Petrel, Great Skua, Sooty Shearwater

A great day.

Blowing a Gale today - a hooley!  High tide and sheltered at the Vale Pond sluice and the Kingfisher appeared seven times this morning! - probably two kingfishers per those watching. 

From diving from perch into pond to returning it took between 2 and 6 seconds each time!!  You dare not blink.

Went to try and find Wheatear and for a change was successful.

It appeared again today, three times every 25 mins. 

Took these snaps.  Difficult to get it in flight! 

It appeared on top of the sluice and then went over to the other side of the pond. 

You could hear its call when flying giving some warning that it was 'somewhere'!

Saw a pair of Peregrines flying and playing over the marsh but did not get a photo.

Kingfisher at Clare Mare - a bit far away though. I moved closer to the other hide but it did not settle on a reed in view :-(

Saw two Greenshank though.

Not sure what one of the flying thing I saw from the main hide was ??

Saw two flocks of yellow wagtails of 10+ and 20+ at Clare Mare around 16:40 and a single Little Stint.
