Lovely day today so went for a walk at Pleinmont hoping to see the short eared owls.
The motor bike scramblers were there so no chance of seeing the Desert Wheatear seen yesterday near the scramble track so went to the north in the fields / trees. Saw one owl but did not take any photos even though quite close; mesmorised :-).
Fields were full of fungi. Driving back popped into drive down to 'Haunted House' on cliff by Pleinmont and saw the two shorteared owls hunting next to the house.
One flew towards me allowing these photos.
I presume that the other bird is a chaffinch; one of a flock at Pleinmont.
